A report on the oral health status of children with cerebral palsy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Abstract

Abstract: We suggest investigating and improving the healthcare system provided for CP children, including general anesthesia facilities, dental appointments, dental follow-ups, and waiting lists. Parental/caregiver oral health awareness programs are essential for prevention of oral disease in this group of patients. We also suggest establishing a data registry for children with CP in the UAE. This will help in epidemiological studies and the provision of comprehensive oral health care for these children.
