Inspired by Human Library which is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. Al Maktoum Medical Library designed a similar framework where people can come and talk at an interpersonal level, share their knowledge and experience, ask questions and learn from each other. Through Living Books we tried to create a space for open and real conversations, instead of leafing through a book for information, you learn by conversing with someone who knows the subject that is of your interest and willing to share their knowledge and experience. Living Books event is an effort to promote sharing experience, and encourage understanding between people who come from different lifestyles or cultural backgrounds.en_US
